Horseless stagecoach at HandcrossThe Red Rover stagecoach is devoid of coachmen and passengers who are enjoying lunch in the Red Lion.
The replacement team of horses would be harnessed up at the last-possible moment as a coachman would be required to hold the lead horses to prevent them galloping off into the sunset.
In the meantime, one chock and the handbrake were all that was deemed necessary to hold the coach.
