Colwood Lodge stands at the entrance to the estate looking immaculate in this picture.
The gates are most impressive, but I wonder why the right hand gate was later removed. See picture #1043.
The later photograph also shows rampant growth from the climbing plants, so much so that the pillar with finial atop on the left of the above picture has been completely covered.
I do not know the date of the photograph except it has a stamp from the reign of George V (1910-1936).
