Map showing the second Handcross Park

The map shows the second Handcross Park situated quite a distance from the first. The first one, Handcross House, was pulled down, but, as some sort of memorial, a corner of the building was left standing opposite the school until the dual carriageway was built. The strange-looking pillar is shown on the map and clearly shows that the first house was about the same distance from the road as the school is today.

Comments:
It seems unlikely that any photograph of Handcross House exists, nor even of the corner of the house which was left standing for many years.
However, I have now found a line drawing of the house and it is easy to imagine what one of the tower-like corners looked like after the remainder was demolished.
