The Handcross WI Shakespeare Society continued with their second production of The Merchant of Venice in about 1950.
There are no notes attached to the photographs but I recognise many of them.
From the left: Miss Daphne Dengate, Mrs May Longhurst, Mrs Kate Sands, Unknown, Unknown, Mrs Weller.

The Large Version shows the merchant “Antonio” (actor or actress unknown) shaking the hand of Mrs Lily Jakes.
