Nymans - Rose Garden renovation (2)

Late summer 1987.
Preparation of soil before restoration of the old Rose Garden at Nymans.
A chemical called Basamid is spread over the soil to kill fungal diseases, rotovated into the soil, followed by the soft shoe shuffle to harden the soil surface and finally covered in polythene for six weeks.
The Great Storm in October 1987 removed the polythene and sent it towards Balcombe!
