Dances in the Parish Hall, Handcross

The picture is of two tickets to gain entrance to dances organised by the stoolball section of the Handcross Social Club in 1952, and the Slaugham Parish Council in 1994.
Click on Open Document to view newspaper cuttings of four dances organised by, respectively, the Tennis Club, the Table Tennis Club, the Handcross Dance Club, and the British Legion.
It is interesting to note that the tennis club played on courts located to the rear of the Red Lion. It seems that promises were made at the dance to improve the condition of the courts before the next season.
