Sleeping Beauty pantomime in Handcross

To raise funds, the newly-formed Handcross Band brought Cuckfield’s pantomime, The Sleeping Beauty, to Handcross for two performances in March 1947.
The advertisements on the programme make interesting reading, in particular “The Ball of the Year” at the Perrymount Cinema in Haywards Heath where the floorshow included a performance by Max Miller. I would never have guessed that he appeared so locally.
