Zoar Baptist Chapel - High Street, Handcross

This is a copy of an old drawing of the original Zoar Strict Chapel which was built on the same site as the present building. In 1775 there was a small chapel following in the village but no dedicated place of worship. The original chapel was fairly primitive being largely built with timber and plaster and after a hundred years of service it was replaced by the present chapel in 1888.
