This is another picture of the Grapes from a different viewpoint to picture #1257.
There is no information supplied with the photograph, but by referring to picture #1028 showing the Pease Pottage cricket team, it seems quite clear that the man on the extreme right above is William Thorn, who ran the pub with his wife, Jane. He was still in residence at the Grapes in 1933 according to the electoral roll for that year.
The Large Version shows a close up of the group, and perhaps others can be identified.
