Coronation - High Street, Handcross

A wonderful picture of Handcross celebrating the coronation of King George VI which took place on 12th May 1937, the same day previously intended for the coronation of his brother, Edward VIII. I doubt whether it will be possible to emulate the decorations for the next coronation; it would be quite a challenge for the village!
