Furnace Pond Cottage

At the rear of Furnace Pond Cottage my mother, Nora Ray, is standing between Denise Robins and her husband, Colonel “Neill” Pearson.
My maternal grandfather, Jim Longhurst from Slaugham village, visited the house regularly as he was long-time gardener to Miss Robins. He died in 1975, and my grandmother in 1977. Click on Large Version to view a letter received by my mother from Denise Robins making reference to “Longhurst” and Mrs Longhurst.
