Bells Farmhouse, Slaugham

This is the front page of a Christmas card sent by John Smith of Lower Ashfold, in Coos Lane, and shows an aerial view of Bell’s Farmhouse in Slaugham.
See picture #647 for more details of John Smith, later to be more formally known as Sir John Lindsey Eric Smith CH, CBE.
Bell’s Farmhouse is a Grade II listed timber-framed building dating from the 16th century. The Large Version shows a close up of the house and yard, and, equally important, two perfectly-formed round haystacks.
The Document shows the inside of the card.
