British Legion social at Staplefield

The Handcross British Legion held a social event for all ages in the Staplefield Village Hall to raise funds. I assume the £12 raised went a lot further than it would do today!
Entertainment was provided by soprano, Eileen Cox, from the Fountain Inn, xylophonist Gordon Summers, and accordionist Ted Boniface. They were all from Handcross, but Staplefield was well represented behind the scenes by Gordon Alexander and Norah Rowe.
I can remember watching Gordon Summers playing his xylophone on several occasions in the 1950s and 1960s. I cannot recall the actual melody now but I know that he always used to include “On the Tracks” in his performance.
Please can anyone supply a clearer photograph?
