High Beeches house damaged by Halifax bomber

The rear of High Beeches house was the most severely damaged part of the building following the Halifax crash and it is easy to understand how three staff, who lived in this part of the house, loss their lives.
In the centre of the photograph is a dresser and towards the right of the picture is a cooking range but the actual chimneystack above the second floor has been demolished, probably hit by the Halifax. On the second storey is a cupboard, with a fireplace built into the chimneystack. The floor/ceiling between the two storeys has been completely destroyed; as has the roof.
The Large Version shows a close up of the same view.
