At one time I think the children in Truggers outnumbered the adults, and certainly many lasting friendships were soon forged among the younger occupants.
The picture above was taken in 1949 and shows Sylvia O’Shea (14), Rosemary O’Shea (5), and, on the right, Penny Sargent (5).
I am very grateful to Penny, via Rosemary, for supplying the photograph.
The Large Version contains a list of the leading members of all the families in Truggers as at December 1955.
