Colonel Warren's prize-winning cattle

Col. J Raymond Warren of the Hyde estate in Handcross was a very active person with so many interests to occupy his life as reported in the newspaper cutting attached to picture #1015. However, he still found time to indulge himself in his passion in breeding prize-winning Sussex cattle under the guidance of his head stockman, Bill Baigent.
This picture was taken at Haywards Heath in about 1935 when the champion steer was described as belonging to Major J. R. Warren, O.B.E., N.C., J.P.
