Another photograph of this “mystery” play has come to light. (See picture #1402)
The name of the play is not known, but it seems to involve a lot of throwing of arms into the air!
From the left, the cast above are Mrs Lily Jakes, Mrs Vi Johnson (Nashlands), Mrs Edith Biggs, and Mrs Adeline “Addie” Edwards.

This was one of the one or two act plays put on by the WI.
They were usually shown just of an afternoon to other members of the WI and small audiences. It was comedy, which I believe they alternated with a mystery.
