Mill Pond at Slaugham with sluice

Here are pictured two people sitting under a tree in front of the old mill looking out over the Mill Pond in Slaugham.
The sluice can clearly be seen where the water was extracted to power the mill, and a close up can be viewed by selecting Large Version.

Mill Pond at Slaugham
This reminds me of the times we used to visit Slaugham and the Mill Pond when we were young, living in Crawley and Horsham, between 1949 and 1962.
What a mess the dredgers have made to a lovely, idyllic, peaceful place. Such a shame!
