Post office, Pease Pottage

The picture is of Pease Pottage post office and stores on the A23 opposite the Black Swan. The entrance to Parish Lane lies just in front of the double telegraph post. The advertisements against the fence seek to promote R. White’s lemonade, ginger beer, soda water, and cream soda. No doubt these were all popular with the many cyclists using the Brighton road at that time.
