The Forge, Handcross

In 1988 the major development in Handcross was centred in Windmill Platt and, in particular, The Forge.
Houses numbered 1 to 11 front the right side of the road, currently being used as a builder's yard in this photograph!
In the distance can be seen the roof trusses on numbers 14, 13, and 12 The Forge.
The Large Version shows the roofing work completed on 12/14 The Forge, but now work has started on the houses at the junction of Windmill Platt and the High Street.
Click on Open Document to view the completed work, except that the road sign only says Windmill Platt. It was changed later to add “Leading to Smugglers End and The Forge”.
