Handcross Band

Just two years after the end of the Second World War, life in Handcross was returning to something approaching normality and the village band entered a competitive Band Festival at Tunbridge Wells. From what I can understand of the pencil notes in the margin of the programme they performed in third place in order of playing, but sadly they were not among the top three prize-winning places.

Sometime in the 1960s the band gave a Christmas concert at Crawley College and their excellent performance can be heard by using the controls below. It runs for 25 minutes.
