Crossroads in Warninglid

This is a general view of the crossroads in Warninglid taken from the front garden of Fairfields in Warninglid Lane. The road marking at the crossroads has now changed so that the traffic arriving from the The Street and Slaugham Lane has priority.
Ahead can be seen the entrance to the Half Moon car park, and the Listers estate beyond.
It seems the residents of Fairfield had a 1967-registered Triumph Spitfire sports car, probably the Mk III (1967/70).
The Large Version shows a close up.
On 22nd July 2015, BBC Radio Sussex visited Warninglid as part of their series “Sussex Village Tour” and those interviewed were Jamie Amico, landlord of the Half Moon, Ed Hadfield, Chairman of the residents association, and Peter Benner, retired solicitor and local historian.
The interviews were broadcast live in three separate visits to the village, These interviews have been have joined together and the final result, nine minutes long, can be heard by using the controls below.
Another local resident managed to appear in the broadcast briefly at 7 minutes 40 seconds when she greeted Peter and the interviewer with a cheery “Good morning”,
