Children's Christmas party in Parish HallIn January 1949 the Parish Hall in Handcross was the venue for a Christmas party for the children who lived in the village or who attended the village school.
Chairman of the organising committee was Rev. A. P. Cameron who relied on some 24 committee members and others to cater for the almost 200 children attending.
The biggest cheer of the party was reserved for Father Christmas, who strangely had the same large build as Bill Robinson!
