Richardson's Garage, Pease Pottage

A view from the car park of the Black Swan looking towards Richardson's garage, later to be the Jet garage. A well-laden lorry is parked on the A23 just beyond the car.

Comments:
Richardson's garage was earlier known as the Stadium Garage. My father owned the garage in the 1950s.
The Jet garage was actually on both sides of the road to cater for traffic in both directions on the very busy A23.

This was the Stadium Garage prior to when Richardsons took over the site in about 1959 who started with Jet petrol until Jet opened their site on the old Weller's flower shop site.
