William Biggs and his Francis Barnett motorcycle

Further to picture #1561, which includes local cricketer, William “Bill” Biggs, here is a copy of the guarantee for the Francis Barnett Snipe K.49 motorcycle he purchased in 1940.
At the time, Bill was living at West Lodge, Handcross Park which can be seen at picture #509.
Click on Open Document to read the full guarantee which unfortunately does not include the number of the registration plate.
Also included is a copy from the Motorcycle magazine showing an advertisement for this model which has interesting specifications including the note that there was no legal requirement for a speedometer!
