Warninglid School group photograph

The photograph is not that clear but the signboard signifies that it is of staff and pupils of “Warninglid Board School”.
School boards were introduced in 1870 under the Elementary Education Act and the schools were largely fee-paying with provisions to assist the poor.
However, following the Education Act of 1902, the schools were placed under the control of local education authorities, and the boards were wound up.
There are no notes attached to this photograph and the date has been estimated.
