BBC television visits Warninglid School

In July 1983 Warninglid School was visited by a camera crew from the BBC to record the school's success in bridging the generation gap. The photograph shows headmaster, Don Sinclair, with several of the pupils mixing with a group of villagers from an earlier generation.
The school had reached the last four in a national competition called “Side by Side” and the event was covered by the BBC "Nationwide" programme.
The Mid-Sussex Times also reported on the event and their article can be viewed by selecting Open Document.
The elderly who were mentioned in the newspaper article were Mrs May Franklin (83), Jesse Newnham (84), Maurice Abbott (75), and Bill Newnham (81) and the pupils were Emma Bridgstock (10), Melanie Cherry (10), and Neil Humphrey (11).

I think the missing boy's name could be Alfie TIGHE.
