Pictured here is the view on the A23 as one approached from Handcross. On the right is Stadium Garage, and on the left is Claude Weller’s flower shop with the sign “Pull In”.
The garage has a large range of different signs, but towering above everything else is the gigantic sign saying “Give me Castrol every time”.
In the report this is called a box hoarding, and a rear view of this structure can be viewed on the Large Version. Being so large I presume it had to be three-dimensional to prevent it being blown down in high winds!
