Woodhurst - Fishing on the Fish Pond

The photograph is of the Fish Pond at Woodhurst and was taken in September 1930. It shows one of the two sons, Graham John Mountain but known as John, fishing in the boat.
The vessel looks quite sleek and sporty and I am wondering if it should more accurately be described as a skiff, suitable for use by one person only.
The Large Version shows a close up of John in the boat.
