Warninglid School pupils in Magistrates Court

Pupils from Warninglid School appeared in the Haywards Heath Magistrates Court in March 1973 as arranged by their headmaster, Mr Don Sinclair. He stressed that the visit was purely educational, and not some form of punishment!
A mock trial was held with the outcome that the defendant was found guilty of stealing a valuable Ming vase.
Those pupils taking an active part in the trial were Michael Andrews, Andrew Brown, Sara Gussman, Heather Lawson, Caroline Mathias, Linda Mitchell, Rachael Owen, Helen Smythe, and Richard Watts.
The part of P.C. David Pearce from Handcross was played by himself.
