Coronation of George VI - Wheelbarrow and football

The parade for the coronation of King George VI included all sorts of vehicles but, so far as I am aware, only one wheelbarrow.
Keen sportsman, John Gratwicke is seen pushing Trevor Elliott, both wearing Handcross football shirts. The sign reads “After the Cup Final”, and Trevor is sporting several bandages indicating what sort of game it was!
Perhaps John is wishing he had chosing an easier vehicle to push all the way down the High Street, and back again!
Also, Trevor may not be enjoying the ribbing from his school mates.
