Staplefield cricketers ar Stone Court

For several years the Slesinger family lived at Stone Court in Staplefield and Mr E. G. Slesinger was a vice-president of the local cricket club. Each year a match was arranged between Staplefield and Mr J. Slesinger’s XI and an important part of the event was the splendid tea laid on at Stone Court.
The picture shows the village team on the steps leading down to the garden.
