Christmas card from the Hyde, Handcross

This is a cultivated woodland area of the Hyde garden in Handcross with an intriguing gap in the distant hedge. Perhaps someone recognises the location.
The photograph is fixed on the front cover of a Christmas card send to an unknown person by Mrs Eveline Warren in 1935. No doubt her husband, Col. J. Raymond Warren, was serving in the forces at that time.
