Car outside the Black Swan, Pease Pottage

The Black Swan has been rebuilt and the quaintness of earlier photographs has made way for a new 20th century style. A splendid open-topped car is parked outside with two spare tyres strapped to the side. Despite this modernity I note that the large stone block stands against the picket fence to assist the public to mount their horses. In earlier photographs this stood under the trees in front of the pub.
