The Slaugham Scouts marbles team are in training for the British Championships due to be held at Tinsley Green on Good Friday 1956. The photograph shows the bully boys in the guise of the Handcross Bulldogs who have pushed their way to the ring! From the left they are Trevor Chadd, his father-in-law Bill Scott, and their captain Arthur Chamberlain.
Standing patiently at the back are Barry Ray, Richard Hayler, Colin Boniface, and captain Tom Chamberlain.
