Tom and Beryl Chamberlain

Further to the recent photographs of the 1st Slaugham Scouts marbles team, here is a modern photograph of Tom Chamberlain, who was team captain when the scouts first played at the championships over 64 years ago.
On the left is his sister, Beryl Marks (née Chamberlain), and on the right his wife, Pam. The picture was taken just prior to Tom and Pam leaving to travel to New Zealand for the next six months, returning to Sussex in April next year. This has been their winter-avoiding tactics for many years, whereby they migrate from Autumn to Spring twice a year!
The Large Version shows a picture of Tom and Beryl.
They were both born in Horsham Road, Handcross, 78 and 82 years ago, respectively. While Tom was flicking his marbles, Beryl was playing stoolball for Handcross.
