Buchan Hill, Pease Pottage

The photograph is of Buchan Hill, the impressive country house located about three-quarters of a mile from the centre of Pease Pottage. My father always said that it was his favourite country house in the Slaugham Parish.
More pictures of Buchan Hill can be found by clicking on “Groups” and conducting a search.
It is still occupied by Cottesmore School who celebrated their centenary in 1994, although the school has only been at this location since 1946 when Michael Rogerson purchased it.
The Large Version shows a close up.
Select Open Document to view a photograph from 1895 of masters and boys of the Cottesmore Bicycling Club when the school was located in Hove, Sussex.
