Haymaking at Buchan Hill, Pease Pottage

The quality of the photograph is not good but it shows my great-grandfather, George Tester (1844-1914), with his shotgun at Buchan Hill Farm where he was farm bailiff.
To his right is his second wife, Caroline, whom he married in 1882 following the death of his first wife, Ann.
Beyond George’s left shoulder is probably his son, George Tester (1866-1943), and then his other son, Godfrey Tester (1870-1934).
It is clearly haymaking time and the horse has been hauling a full load on the wagon.
