This photograph is of The May Band at The Cottage, Dencombe, Handcross.
My grandfather, James William Brown is playing the accordion, and my grandmother, Elizabeth Hannah Brown (née Banks) playing the harmonica.
James worked as a groom at the house, later becoming chauffeur for the Ashfold estate.

That's a nice recollection.
It's a pity we don't do more things like this in modern times; it has to be on some sort of screen otherwise it's not real.
