Staff of Ashfold, Handcross (1 of 2)

This photograph of 1931 shows the staff of Ashfold house in Horsham Road, Handcross.
From left to right, they are Miss Waites (lady's maid). Mr Styles (butler). James "Will" Brown (chauffeur and my grandfather), Unknown, Mrs Ball (cook).
They are obviously on a day out, but where are they going?
The Large Version shows a close up.

I have just come across another photograph taken on the same occasion. On the reverse is written "Derby 1931".
Obviously Ashfold staff are enjoying a day at the races. The ladies' hats and outfits were far more reserved in those days!
