Post office stores, Slaugham

Mr Victor H Kensett was shopkeeper and postmaster in Slaugham for many years. Here he stands with his pipe surrounded by his family outside the shop and the signage informs us that he was a “Draper Baker Grocer”. Under the word “Baker” is written simply “Kensett”. The sign behind Mrs Kensett in the white dress says “Slaugham Post Office” and beneath is the post box. There is a sign above the word “Baker” but I cannot make it out. The Large Version link shows a close-up of the family.
