Pease Pottage army camp (7 of 10)

The photograph shows the tented army camp in Pease Pottage with men of the Royal Army Medical Corps in residence on this occasion.
The Large Version shows a close up.
A picture of the camp newspaper store has already been uploaded and this can be viewed at picture #1309.
One soldier wrote home to his wife or girlfriend explaining that the Grapes public house was a 20-minute walk from the camp. He sent his message on the reverse of picture #159.
I would have liked to think that I could have shaved a good 8 or 9 minutes off the time!
