Handcross Motor Sports Club (1 of 2)The Handcross Motor Sports Club successfully held many off-road events for cars and motorbikes in the post-war years. The social side was an important part of becoming a member as the club also arranged dances and darts matches against local pubs.
One ambitious club project was the monthly, or sometimes bi-monthly, newsletter called The Smudge.
The Large Version shows the club membership card for Miss Kathleen Brackpool, later to become my mother after marrying the Honorary Secretary, Ray Funnell, in 1956.
Select Open Document to view an edition of The Smudge for the months of February and March 1948.
