After moving in to the newly built Truggers estate, Handcross on 29th March 1948, my parents, Ted and Elsie Cosens, are standing in their front garden at number 29.
The child is granddaughter, Annette Cosens, eldest daughter of Alan Cosens. Not much is known about the black and white cat!
In the background are numbers 30 and 31, the homes of Percy Tomsett and Tom Briggs and their families.
The Large Version shows a picture from 1981 of my father in the side garden of number 29, designed, I think, with children in mind! Looking on admiringly is his grandson, Paul Cosens,
