Hancock family farming at Ashfold

The Hancock family were farmers on the Ashfold estate.
My father, Peter A Brown, is in this photograph. He is the curly-haired boy at the back looking at the calf.
My father recalls being allowed to visit the dairy which had a marble floor and he was permitted to turn the handle on the butter churn. A lady would pat the butter and press a monogram onto it. There was four staff working in the dairy. There were lots of pots of cream and no doubt my father would have tasted some on his visits.
From the left they are: Unknown, Peter Brown (my father), Kathleen Mabel Hancock, Donald Hancock, James P Brown (my uncle), Jim Hancock, and Herbert John Hancock.
Herbert married Mary Helen Willdey in 1913, and they had six children. In addition to those mentioned above there were three older daughters, Joan, Margaret and Ruth.
