The Green, Slaugham

This is an unusual shot in that the camera is facing southwards. On the left can be seen Lynx Cottage and 10, The Green. Behind the wall on the right lies the garden of Clare Cottage on which the post office and shop was to be built some eight years later. A group of children are chatting next to the village tap, while another young girl looks on from outside the shop. In the far distance there is a car parked outside the church and I would suggest that there is a good chance that it is owned by the photographer. The Large Version link shows a close-up of the group of children, with the little girl considering whether she should join them.
