Handcross Women's Institute memories (1 of 6)

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the formation of Handcross Women’s Institute in 1918 it was decided to produce a video of several of the oldest members being interviewed on their earliest memories of their schooldays, their family life, and of being a W.I. member.
The first video in a series of six starts with a short introduction by the president, Pat Long, and is followed by members, Nora Ray, Hepsy Brown, Edie Boxall, Gladys Fraser and Elizabeth James.

What a fantastic video. It is so important to have these lovely ladies' recollections of their lives in Handcross recorded for future generations.
Hepsy Brown (née Doggett) was my aunt, it is so great to look back and hear her memories.
Barry Ray does a marvellous job uploading all these records. Thank you very much for dedicating your time, it is a valuable history resource.

Wow! It is so nice to hear a family member talking, being Hepsy Brown, my great-aunt.

I agree wholeheartedly with Linda. I loved watching this video, and got some more details of my family history too!
