The funeral of 105-years-old Mrs Elsie Cosens

The funeral of 105-years-old Mrs Elsie Cosens took place on Tuesday, 6th February 2018. (See picture #2175)
Ron Cosens has supplied documents relating to the family’s bereavement and the funeral. He adds “It was a sad, sad day but all went well and we can proudly say that we gave her a dignified and warm-hearted send off. She was the end of a generation.”
The Large Version shows an obituary from a Yorkshire newspaper. It is astonishing to learn that Mrs Cosens had 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren!
Select Open Document to view the Order of Service which, of course, included the hymn “Jerusalem”, the adopted anthem of the W.I. of which Mrs Cosens was a member for most of her long life. The document also includes another newspaper obituary.
