Handcross Band victorious

Further to picture #1256, Handcross Band attracted a lot of publicity when they not only appeared in the National Brass Band Championship in the Albert Hall, but succeeded in winning in the fourth section!
The photograph is taken from a newspaper cutting. The Large Version shows a close up.
Select Open Document to view the rest of the article, plus an article from another newspaper, and also a cutting describing yet another victory in the Southern Counties Amateur Band Association contest which took place in the Dome, Brighton. The latter cutting was kindly supplied by Bev Ansell.
