Auction sale of Colwood, Warninglid (3 of 4)Further to picture #2227, the above photograph from the catalogue features the library.
The Large Version shows the music room, with unusual footrests for any couple sitting on the settee on the right.
The only instrument on view seems to be a pianola with a sliding panel in the front where the paper rolls were inserted and on view when the machine was operated. A collection of pianola rolls can be seen on the left.

Interestingly there were two electricity generating stations, each with a generator and accumulator room to store the electricity for those occasions when the motors were not operating.
I like the idea of having a “private cricket field with well-kept turf and a pavilion at one side”.
